Parents should register their child and submit required documents. 

Prior to the first day of school, all incoming 7th-grade students must have documented proof of receiving the following mandatory vaccinations:

• TDAP
• MCV4

Figure out the bell schedule. We are on a block schedule which means students need to know if today is a black, gold, or all classes day. On black or odd days, students attend periods 1, 3, and 5. These are sometimes referred to as A days. On gold or even days, students attend periods 2, 4, and 6. These are sometimes referred to as B days. On all classes days, students attend periods 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. These are sometimes referred to as C days. Visit the Schedules and Calendars webpage. There is a calendar for the entire year and a breakdown of what each day looks like depending on whether it's a black, gold, or all classes day.   

🕒 Arrival & Breakfast

• Drop-Off Time: Students should arrive on campus no earlier than 7:00 a.m. * Supervision Note: Please do not drop your child off prior to 7:00 a.m., as there is no campus supervision available before this time.
• Breakfast: Cafeteria doors open at 7:30 a.m. for students wishing to eat breakfast.

🚪 Campus Entry & Exit Points

• Students: Walking students must use ONLY the entrance next to cafeteria doors in the front of the school. Students arriving by bus enter through the bus gates.  
• Parents & Visitors: For any school business, parents and guardians must enter through the A1 door entrance at the front of the school. All parents and visitors must sign in. 

⏱️ Dismissal & After-School Plans

• Regular Dismissal: School dismisses at 1:41 p.m. through the same gates they entered upon arrival. 
• After-School Expectations: Please establish a clear after-school plan with your child. Students are NOT permitted to loiter on or around the campus after dismissal.
• Clubs, Sports, & Activities: Students participating in scheduled after-school activities must exit the building at dismissal and re-enter through the front doors and sign in through the front office. These specific arrangements will be coordinated directly by their coach or advisor.

🚲 Transportation Safety (Bikes, Scooters, & Skateboards)

• Students are permitted to ride bicycles, scooters, and skateboards to school.
• Campus Rules: Non-folding scooters, bikes, and skateboards cannot be ridden on campus grounds. Upon arriving at the school boundary, students must dismount and walk.
• Storage: Bikes and non-folding scooters must be securely locked in the designated bike rack. They are not allowed in the school building. 
• Disclaimer: The school is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bicycles, scooters, or skateboards.

🚗 Traffic & Pedestrian Reminders

• All drivers must remain highly alert, patient, and adhere strictly to all traffic laws.
• Always yield to pedestrians in and around school zones.
• Please remind your child to look both ways, pay close attention, and exclusively use designated crosswalks when crossing the street.

Students received their class schedules on the first day of school. New students should see their counselor.

The administration of Woodbury Middle School strictly enforces the dress and appearance code approved by the CCSD Board of School Trustees. Information regarding the school’s dress code is also provided in the online student handbook. Please review the following Woodbury Middle School dress code requirements with your child to ensure compliance.

The following are not permitted:

• Pants that sag and show the top of the undergarments worn beneath them.
• Crop tops (shirts that allow skin to show between pants or skirts and the shirt), strapless, low-cut clothing, or clothing that provides minimum coverage.
• Clothing with spaghetti straps. All straps must be at least three inches wide and cover the shoulder.
• Required shoes with soles and backs. No slides or slippers.
• Jeans, pants, or trousers with rips or tears that expose undergarments and/or are located mid-thigh or higher.
• Headgear (hats, caps, bandanas, etc.) except for authorized athletic practices or activities.
• Clothing with slogans or advertising which by its controversial or obscene nature will disrupt the educational setting.
• Spiked or studded clothing.
• Coats, mittens, and/or scarves can be worn to school, but not in classrooms.
• Pajamas or slippers.
• Additionally, all shorts, skirts, and dresses must be at fingertip length, or longer.

Students may bring a cell phone to school. Beginning with the 2024-25 school year, students in Grades 6 to 12 must put away their cell phones while in the classroom. Learn more.  If you choose to send your child to school with a cell phone, please discuss with them the proper precautions to reduce the risk of theft. Cell phones are subject to search if school personnel have reasonable suspicion that the phone may have inappropriate pictures and/or text messages stored on it.

All students need to use a school-issued Chromebook to access Clever, Canvas, and other school-approved applications. Chromebooks are distributed to students during their ELA class the first week of school. New students should see Mr. Dwyer in the library. Students must bring their Chromebook fully charged to school each day. Chargers should be kept at home. Students will not be able to get a device if they have tech fines or overdues. 

Students need to make sure that their school Google account works. This used for all digital learning which includes logging into school issued Chromebooks. From there, Clever is where students go to log into just about every school program including Canvas, which is where you will find your classes, and Destiny Discover, the library catalog.
