Welcome to the Woodbury Google Portal!
What's this Google thing all about?
Many of our students use Google Accounts in a CCSD partnership called G-Suite -Google's suite of educational apps. G-Suite helps to make Woodbury a school of the future -today! For an intro, watch this video. Students can access their Google account on any device at any time. This free program has the potential to revolutionize how our students learn, collaborate, and connect with their teachers. What’s so great about Google Drive? And why should my students be using it? makes for a great introduction to what your child can do with this software. While intended for teachers, the article and videos will help any parent to understand this exciting educational tool.
This page can help students activate their accounts. In addition, this page is intended to help students log back into their accounts for the first few times. Once students are comfortable with logging in, they can directly go to Google.com to access their accounts.
Activate Your Active Directory Account to Activate Your Google Account
Once you click the button, follow these steps: “Reset Your Password or Retrieve Your Current CCSD Standard ID” > “I have forgotten my password and need to reset it”
3. “Reset your Password, Step 1: verify your information.” Type your student number.
4. “Reset your Password, Step 2: select a verification device.” You will use your birth date (MM/DD/YYYY). If for example you were born on January 15, 2007, then you would type 01152007.
5. “Reset your Password, Step 4: set your new password.” Your password should follow the school formula. The letter “G” in “Grade” needs to be capitalized, while the other letters should be lowercase.
sixth graders use this: MM + DD + YYYY + Grade6
(For example: 01092005Grade6)
seventh graders use this: MM + DD + YYYY + Grade7
(For example: 01092005Grade7)
eighth graders use this: MM + DD + YYYY + Grade8
(For example: 01092005Grade8)
If for some reason, you are not allowed to change your password because it is not complex enough, enhance the password by writing GRADE in all capital letters so that your final password would look like this: 01152007GRADE6. This will be your G-Suite password. Write it down in your agenda or someplace safe. You may want to give it to your parents in case you forget.
Log into Google
Go to Google.com.
On the Google page, click the Sign In button in the upper right hand corner.
When you are prompted to enter your email, insert an email address with these five parts:
first name (up to eight letters) . infinite campus ID @ nv.ccsd.net
If your name were Joe Schmo with Infinite Campus number 123456, your email address would be firstname.lastname@example.org. Any teacher has access to your Infinite Campus number but you can also find it through your your Campus Portal account.
Your password will be what you typed into Active Directory: MMDDYYYY (sixth grade), MMDDYYYYgrade7 (seventh grade), MMDDYYYYgrade8 (eighth grade). If you lose this password, you will need to reset your Active Directory password since the accounts are synced.
Once you're in, go to Drive. That is your base of operations within your Google account. It has apps like Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms. From there you can create projects, share them with classmates, and submit them to your teacher.
If you're on a public computer, like one at school, make sure you sign out when you're done. If you're using an iPad at school, you will need to remove your account from the device since the app doesn't currently allow users to sign out. My Drive > click on your name > manage accounts > manage > remove > remove
